Augmented Reality App | Hazmat Railcar Training

The TRANSCAER® Augmented Reality (AR) App creates an interactive hazmat training experience by blending real-world environments with computer-generated 3D content—all in the palm of your hand.

About the App

The TRANSCAER Augmented Reality App uses the camera on an Apple mobile device (iPhone or iPad) to project a virtual full-scale railcar into your physical environment. Through this interactive 3D model, users can explore railcar component operations, learn hazmat response simulation techniques, and gain practical skills for real-world scenarios.

By blending digital overlays with real surroundings, users can engage with six unique AR hazmat training scenarios that have traditionally only been possible with an actual railcar. This mixed-reality hazmat training makes learning safer, more accessible, and more engaging for emergency responders and students alike.
