Event Focus
Teaching responders how to work around railroads and remain safe around equipment found on the rail.
Description
Training is conducted by Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WIDNR) fire fighters from across the state. Attendees will learn about locomotives and other railroad equipment as well as safety around the rail lines in the event of an emergency. They will also learn how to integrate into the incident command system/unified command (ICS/UC) with local authorities and responding representatives from the railroad. We will also set up fire equipment that is commonly found with the railroads.
