This class teaches first responders the basics of how to respond to oil spills on and below the ice. We will be offering 2 deliveries of this class. Students start the day in the class room and transition to hands on skill stations in the afternoon. Hands on skill station will held on Pike Lake. Students will learn about ice properties, PPE, tools and techniques. Lunch will be provided.
Required PPE: Students are asked to bring a life jacket, work gloves, and water proof boots. Students are also asked to dress accordingly for the weather conditions.
